Originally likely to launch in
Minecraft Resource Packs August alongside the newest Xbox One and PS4 editions of Minecraft, 4J Studios' PS Vita port in the popular franchise was unfortunately delayed and is also still currently in development. Even after Minecraft eventually launched late on current-gen platforms earlier this year, the planned handheld version was further postponed. 'Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition' and 'Minecraft: Pocket Edition' managed to accumulate 10 million copies each. However, the update does add one new feature to the game because it gives fans a chance to easily build a back-up of their save files while playing the game. This makes it easier for gamers to try out new creations, or destroy old ones without affecting their original save.
